Hurricane "Juan" Hits Halifax Nova Scotia
Ron & Lynn Gray's home Sambro. It is a mystery that their little shed did not disappear. Ron lost his little punt but managed to gain a stange canoe on his front lawn. Sherman Hart's Fish Shed used to sit on the little island behind Ron and Lynn's little shed. Dale Garrison's Fish Shed or what is left of it. The wharf behind it disappeared.
Ron & Lynn's front lawn in the opposite direction. All that is left of Bobby Findlay's stag and wharf at the end of the cove in Sambro Harbour.
Sambro Harbour and the government wharf on the left. This is another view of where Sherman Hart's Shed landed.
Sherman Hart's Shed. This is where the storm left Stevie Gray's Shed.
The government wharf Sambro in the background. Edwin Kirk and Stevie Gray's wrecked wharves. The Canadian Coast Guard Cutter SAMBRO, the red hull can be seen in the background at her berth at the Government Wharf.
This is where Sherman Hart's Fish Shed landed. Gus Reyno watched this shed blow right across Sambro Harbour. It skimmed along and looked like a houseboat sailing across. Ricky Gray's sunken boat.
Owen Garrison's fishing vessel D'ARCY AND TRACY high and dry. The Dock and Dory Tour Boat washed ashore.
The house on the left belongs to John Rae VE1AGN and the back of the roof flew off and landed across the road. John feels it was a mini tornando within the hurricane that lifted it up and over because it did not touch the electric power lines on either side of the street, Atlantic View Drive, Sambro Head, N.S. The wall of his neighbours boat house went up and over with his roof. The back roof of John's house lying in the ditch across Atlantic View Drive, Sambro Head.

This is the original location of Sherman Hart's Fish Shed. These boats were tied up at his wharf and neighbours brought them back. He did not loose any.

The Ketch Harbour Government Wharf. The home of David Oldridge VE1EI. Ten years ago Dave handled more message traffic from this home than Halifax Coast Guard Radio VCS. He was the first to use computers in this area.
